so some theatre in Utah canceled Brokeback Mountain.
i don’t even have anything to say about that. i just can’t believe that in 2006, people are STILL so uptight about sex.
we’d rather see violence and other acts of hate than acts of love, generally speaking, and the portrayal of a brave act of socially unacceptable love (remember, it’s a PERIOD piece), in a work of beautifully tragic art, is being kicked around, probably for some bulldada “moral” reason.
come on! seriously, if anyone on my friends list seriously has a problem with this film, please just go ahead and defriend me now. anyone that shitty is beyond reasoning with.

One reply on “Brokeback Mountain fiasco”
The Bear and I went to see it in Columbus over New Years weekend. I think it is coming to the Neon either this weekend just past or next week. Personally, I do not get the people who are having so much outrage about this film. The heterosexual relationships get more on-screen time than the love affair between the lead males. I liked the book better. *Shrugs*
