Sister Crazy-Soul

walking softly, and with gifted feet
one-half the other, Sister Crazy-Soul
in gaining the Beauty of the Cosmos
left me bleak and weary now.

curled into a ball of sorrow and sunshine
moonbeam hair traces, draping around shoulders
weighted with Atlas and all his love and woe
desperately clinging to the last remaining colours

of the rainbow that was once yr life
and is now cool autumn rain
in the shadowy cracks of a dim suburban sidewalk
your alien youth plays indoors these days.

who kisses frogs in sadness
that they may reject their repugnant indignities
and hath kissed mine froggy cheek
and hath made mine froggy heart sing!

go back to your Nirvana, you angel!
you are dipping your whitely wings in dung!
for you may not change the world
but you may inspire it to change itself.
